I apologize for not remembering who mentioned this in class, but the NY Times just published an article about the girls who sent nude photos over their cell phones and now have pornography charges against them.....

ReplyDeletei really wonder whether such things do happen in the school.. i mean such small students of age 11 to 18.. may be i am surprised because i have never seen or heard of these things more in my school days.. and if this is the case i think every school should have courses on sex education at the right time...
Grishma- I wish I hadn't heard of such sexual harassment in schools either. The article may say that many schools focus on dealing with "general bullying" issues instead of sexual harassment but I don't think they even do that.
ReplyDeleteFending off boy's groping hands should not be the focus of teen girls. I often wonder what goes through my girls' heads when they skip or a fail a class; how often is it a response to the fear of being dehumanized by another classmate?
